Course Description:

Dr. Samet explains the principles of the Red Green Behavior Therapy™ program to treat behavioral and social issues. This approach replaces the common association of green as ‘good' behavior and red as 'bad' ‘bad behavior’ with 'green' representing go! yellow representing 'slow down' and red representing 'STOP'.

Target Audience:

SEITs, SLPs, Parents and mental health professionals.

Course Level:

Intermediate Level Course; Assumes participants’ general familiarity with the literature and professional practice in the topic area of social communication disorders. The activity focuses on updating participants’ knowledge, increasing their understanding of concepts and applications, and promoting evidence-based practice.

Presenter Biography:

Dr. Devora Samet is a clinician and educator in New York State. She has created the Red Green Behavior Therapy approach. Her groundbreaking work involves adapting strategies traditionally only used to teach academic skills and applying them to the art of teaching social skills, thus reaching a large spectrum of children with tremendous success.

Course Completion Requirements:

For up to .4 ASHA CEUs

Satisfactory completion of the course and the earning of up to .4 ASHA CEUs is based on attending both sessions of the live webinar, completing a learning assessment, and completing the ASHA credit google form .

Refund Policy for LIVE courses:

If program is cancelled or rescheduled by our organization:

TheraSmart reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a course due to extenuating circumstances, inclement weather, speaker availability, or insufficient registration. You will be notified via email or phone at least 24 hours before the start of the class. Participants will be offered an opportunity to reschedule or a full refund for registration and course fee(s) will be issued to registrants (not to include travel or other costs). TheraSmart liability is limited to the tuition fee only.

If registrant cancels:

A full refund, less a 25% administrative fee will be provided if your refund request is received in writing (by mail or email) at least 14 days prior to the course start date. No refunds will be made after the 14 day deadline. Tuition will be forfeited for no-show or cancellations.

Complaint Policy:

We do our best to address your concerns. Any complaints or grievances must be submitted via email to [email protected]. Please include the name, address, phone number, email, profession of person submitting the complaint or grievance, the title of the CE course, as well as the exact nature of the complaint/grievance. The CEA (continuing education administrator) will make an effort to resolve the complaint to the satisfaction of the complainant. This may include issuance of a credit for another CE course or other action suitable to all parties.
