Course Description:

This course taught multi-sensory treatment strategies for the remediation of articulation, language, and pragmatic deficits in the tele-practice setting. This course explored the challenges clinicians face when providing online therapy services and presented strategies to improve client outcomes by engaging parents and caregivers in the therapeutic process.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Utilize children’s literature and active listening to improve social-emotional and conversational skills.

Presenter Biography:

Shifra Sharfman, M.A, CCC-SLP

Shifra Sharfman, M.A. CCC-SLP, is the founder and director of Communication Consultants, a pediatric speech and language therapy group located in Miami, Florida. She has been a practicing speech-language pathologist for 30 years. She attended Queens College for undergraduate and graduate programs. Her practice services children in the areas of articulation, language development, auditory processing, social skills, voice, and fluency. She has worked as an adjunct professor in Touro College teaching the Basis of Phonetics among other courses.

Satisfactory completion of the course and the earning of credit is based on your completion of the entire video online webinar, completing a brief learning self-assessment and program evaluation form and requesting a certificate of completion from [email protected]. It may take up to 7 days for you to recieve your certificate.

Refund Policy for online self-paced courses:

TheraSmart will provide a refund for an online self-paced course when the request for refund is received via email at [email protected] within 48 hours of course purchase and if no more than 20% of the course content has been viewed and completed. (Course completion is tracked by our learning management system). Refunds will be sent within 14 days of the written request.
