Course Description:

This course explored and compared the practical application of play-centered therapy in the telehealth and traditional therapy setting. It described effective strategies for parent coaching, the selection of engaging therapy materials, and the mastery of treatment goals. This course focused on using play as intervention for children aged 1-12 with a range of speech and language disorders

Christine Thompson, M.A, CCC-SLP

Christine Thompson, M.A. CCC-SLP, is the founder and director of Play, Talk & Grow, an educational website for parents of children with speech and language delays. She has been a practicing speech-language pathologist for 16 years. She began practicing in Seattle, WA for the first 14 years of her career and relocated to Asheville, NC in 2018. In addition to operating Play,Talk &Grow, Christine provides speech therapy to children in the Asheville area through early intervention as well as clinic and home based therapy.
